Two plans. One difference: whether AI does the reading.

Both plans carry the whole engine — the CRA rules, the receipts, the statements, the exports your accountant asks for. Complete adds the AI that turns a photo or a sentence into a draft, and reads bank statements in layouts no built-in handler knows. Start with 30 days of Complete, free.

On either plan, your accountant gets the year as one ZIP — the trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet and general ledger, bank reconciliations, GST/HST return lines for the return periods you have prepared, the CCA schedule, the mileage log and the receipts. LedgerLodge prepares it and does not file a return; you or your accountant do.

C$69.99/ year

About C$5.83 a month · save C$13.89

Choose Manual
  • The whole engine, entered by hand:
  • Unlimited expenses, receipts and mileage trips
  • CRA calculation engine: tiered mileage, meals, gifts, staff events, ITCs
  • Split bills and foreign currency at Bank of Canada rates
  • Reimbursement batches with transfer receipts
  • Monthly statements and XLSX/CSV exports
  • Private receipt storage, short-lived links
  • Calculation snapshot on every record

Prices in Canadian dollars, plus GST/HST. Annual is two months free. No card needed for the trial. Nothing on either plan is metered.

How the trial works

Thirty days, then your choice. Nothing automatic.

  1. Day 1

    Sign in, no card

Set your province, fiscal year end and GST/HST registration — the three things every calculation depends on — and record the first expense. Complete is on from the start.

  2. Days 1 – 30

Run a real month through it

Photograph receipts, describe trips, split a dinner, settle a reimbursement. Print a statement and open the XLSX — that export is what your accountant will receive.

  3. Day 31

    Pick Manual or Complete

Choose the plan that fits how you record. Nothing is charged without that choice; if you do nothing, the books go read-only and stay exportable until you decide.

The arithmetic

A year costs less than one missed credit.

The price is set against what disorganised books cost, not against what the software costs to run. Three figures from the rules the app applies, and one from the work it replaces.

  1. About C$174 a year of mileage ITC

A reasonable per-kilometre allowance is GST-included, so 5/105 of it is claimable in BC. On 5,000 km at the prescribed rate that is roughly C$174 — a credit most owners never claim because nothing in their records computes it.

  2. One CPA hour, at C$150 to C$300

An export with the deductible amount, the ITC and the receipt count on every row is the difference between a review and a reconstruction. One saved hour covers a year of either plan.

  3. A denied credit on one $100 receipt

Receipts of $100 or more need the supplier’s GST/HST number to support the credit. The app has a field for it and asks while the receipt is still in your hand.

  4. About one bookkeeper hour, for the year

Complete is C$119.99 a year. Sorting a shoebox of receipts is billed at bookkeeper rates, roughly C$100 to C$200 an hour — so a year of Complete costs about what one hour of that work does.

Questions

About the plans.

What is the difference between Manual and Complete?

Exactly one thing: whether AI does the reading. On Manual you fill in the expense form yourself and attach the receipt, and bank statements are imported from CSV or read by the built-in TD and RBC handlers. On Complete you photograph the receipt or describe the expense in a sentence, and the AI drafts it, asks about anything missing, and hands you the same form to confirm; a bank statement in a layout no handler knows can also be read by AI, as a draft you check row by row. The calculation engine, the receipts, the statements and the exports are identical on both, because those are what make the books CRA-ready.

Why is the AI the thing that costs more?

Because it is the thing that costs more to run. Every photo and every sentence is a model call with an image attached; the tax engine, by contrast, is arithmetic. Pricing the plans this way keeps the price aligned with the cost and never asks you to record fewer expenses — a tool for CRA records should never do that.

Is the AI capture metered on Complete?

No. Photograph as many receipts and describe as many expenses as you record. The only limit is fair use: the plan is for one corporation's books, not for bulk processing on behalf of others.

What happens when the trial ends?

Nothing is charged, because there is no card on file. You are asked to pick Manual or Complete; until you do, the account goes read-only, so everything you recorded is still there to look at and to export. Pick a plan whenever you are ready and the books carry on exactly where you left them.

Are the prices in Canadian dollars, and is tax added?

Yes, Canadian dollars. GST or HST is added at checkout at the rate for your province, and the invoice carries the registration number you need to claim it back as an input tax credit.

Can I deduct the subscription itself?

For an incorporated business, bookkeeping software is an ordinary operating expense: 100% deductible, with the GST/HST on it claimable as an input tax credit if the corporation is registered. Record it in LedgerLodge as a software subscription and it flows into your exports like everything else.

Can I switch plans, or between monthly and annual?

Yes, at any time. Upgrades and a move to annual are prorated from the day you switch; a downgrade takes effect at the next renewal. Nothing about your records changes when you switch — expenses drafted by the AI on Complete are ordinary expenses on Manual.

What happens to my records if I cancel?

Export first, and keep the export: the CRA expects books and records to be kept for six years from the end of the tax year, and the XLSX carries every field along with a count of the receipts, while the evidence ZIP carries the receipt files themselves. Cancelling stops the next charge; the books stay readable until the end of the period you have paid for.

Start before the receipts pile up.
